Constitution of Censor Board:

The govt. may, by notification in the official Gazette , constitute a Board to be called Bangladesh Film Censor Board , which shall consist of a Chairman and such number of members , not exceeding fourteen, appointed by the Government for the purpose of examining and certifying films for public exhibition in Bangladesh (Section 3 of The Censorship of Films Act, 1963).

The current Film Censor Board has been constituted on 31st July, 2007. The honorable members of the Board are:

 
1. Mr. Jamil Osman, Secretary, Ministry of Information, Chairman.

2. Mr. Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Joint Secretary (Development), Ministry of Information, Member.

3. Mr. Maksumul Hakim Chaudhury Joint Secretary (Admn),Ministry of Home Affairs. Member.

4. Mr. Anwarul Haque, Joint Secretary (Admn), Ministry of law, Member.

5. Mr. A N M Badrul Amin, Managing Director, Bangladesh Film Development Corporation, Member.

6. Dr. Mohammad Jahangir Hossain, Director General, Bangladesh Film Archive, Member.

7. Mr. Enamul Hoq, Senate Member, Chittagong University, Member.

8. Mr. Rahat Khan, Editor, Daily Ittefaq, Member.

9. Mr. Mahmud Hasan Khan, Film Producer, Member.
