The govt. may, by notification in the official Gazette , constitute a Board to be called Bangladesh Film Censor Board , which shall consist of a Chairman and such number of members , not exceeding fourteen, appointed by the Government for the purpose of examining and certifying films for public exhibition in Bangladesh (Section 3 of The Censorship of Films Act, 1963).

** Film Censor Board :

The current Film Censor Board has been constituted on 10th July, 2011. The honorable members of the Board are:
